What this tour is.

Our Sunset Boat Tour is a two-hour evening cruise into the same Everglades National Park bays as our daytime tours — but timed for the magic hour when light turns golden, water turns glass-calm, and wildlife wakes back up after the heat of the day.

We time the route specifically so you're in the most scenic stretch as the sun drops. We've done this tour thousands of times. We know the spots.

What you'll experience.

  • Golden hour light — the best light for photography in all of South Florida
  • Calm evening water — wind typically dies down at sunset, leaving glass-flat conditions
  • Active wildlife — dolphins feeding, birds returning to roost, manatees surfacing
  • Sunset over the Gulf — unobstructed western horizon view from open water
  • Quiet, intimate experience — just six guests and your guide

Who it's for.

Couples celebrating an anniversary or special occasion, photographers chasing golden hour, families with older kids who want a calmer pace, and anyone tired of crowded touristy sunset cruises. This is the opposite of a party boat — peaceful, slow, and genuinely beautiful.

Common questions.

Departure is approximately 90 minutes before sunset, so timing varies by season. In summer, that's around 6:30 PM; in winter, around 4:30 PM. Exact time will be on your booking confirmation.
After sunset, especially in winter and spring, temperatures can drop quickly on the water. We recommend bringing a light jacket year-round and a warm layer in cooler months.
Sometimes — particularly in summer and at dusk. We recommend bringing insect repellent. Boat speed creates wind that keeps most mosquitoes at bay during the cruise itself.
Yes — it's our most popular tour for couples and special occasions. You can request a small celebration upgrade when you book.
Cloudy sunsets can actually be the most dramatic. We rarely cancel for clouds. Heavy rain or unsafe weather is different; we'll reschedule at no charge if needed.
